Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) activities carried out by the Company for FY 2022-23.
1. CSR Contribution to Param Health Centre, Pune (Dr. Renu Mahtani).
Param Health Centre, Pune a holistic health centre founded by Dr. Renu Mahtani, MD FMNM, is established with an objective for “Committed to providing deep and lasting health solutions.” They improve the health of the low socio-economic strata by improving their vitamin D status and conducting health awareness programs.
This Centre mainly aims at “Natural, Scientific Therapy for Degenerative and Autoimmune disorders”. Autoimmune diseases are on a steep rise and they have an adverse impact on the quality of life through disability, pain and side effects of conventional medicines.
The Company contributed Rs. 3 lakhs to Param Health Centre towards Health Awareness Programs conducted at LokPanchayat Trust, Sangamner which consisted:–

Information on how the low levels of vitamin D in communities can drastically impact their physical and mental well-being.

Vitamin D deficiency is linked to various health problems, including cognitive decline, depression, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, auto immune diseases and cancer.

Role of vitamin D which goes beyond the regulation of calcium and bone health.

Testing of Vitamin D and B12 for all the participants.

Filling of forms for Sun exposure and baseline data.

Distribution of Vitamin D tablets.
2. Contribution towards Educational facility for Rashtriya India Military College (RIMC), Dehradun.
Rashtriya India Military College (RIMC) is a military school for boys and girls situated in Doon Valley, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The RIMC is a feeder institution for the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and subsequently the Indian Armed Forces. Rimcollians, the name by which alumni of the RIMC are usually denoted, have gone on to hold the highest ranks in the Army, Navy and the Air Force of India.
The Company contributed Rs. 12 lakhs to RIMC towards the remuneration of teachers appointed by RIMC for improving the quality of education in the RIMC.
3. Fund for scholarship policy/scheme under CSR for providing financial assistance to economically challenged-cum-meritorious students.
The Board of Directors based on the recommendation of CSR Committee vide its meeting dated 12th May, 2021 had approved scholarship policy/scheme with the objective – i) to provide financial assistance to economically challenged-cum-meritorious students so as to facilitate such student(s) to complete their studies/ academies without financial hurdles and difficulties and ii) to identify and enrich the intellectual capital of such meritorious student(s), so as to fulfill their desire to be equipped with education and develop their skills.
The Scheme shall be applicable throughout India. However, the Company shall give preference to the local area and areas around it where it operates i.e. Pune District.
Upon scrutiny of documents and recommendation of the CSR Committee, the Board of Directors approves the applications received from the economically challenged-cum-meritorious students.
During the FY 2022-23, the beneficiaries under this policy/scheme are as under:
4. Donation of 120 benches to Shri Pandurang Vidya Mandir, Shirur.
Shri Pandurang Vidya Mandir, Vitthalwadi, Shirur, Pune is a school that was established by the aid provided by villagers in 1983. The total no. of students as on date are 380 and most of them are sons/daughters of poor farmers, labourers, etc. There are no proper amenities for the students in the school. The Company received a request letter from the Principal Mr. Bhausaheb Wagh expressing their desire to have benches for the students. The Board of Directors in their meeting held on 24th January, 2023 approved the proposal of 120 benches for the students of the school. The value of this proposal was Rs. 5,38,080/-.
5. Donation of 2 Dialysis Machines to ANP Care Centre.
ANP Care Foundation is running a free Dialysis Treatment Center as a Seva for the people below poverty-line since 2021. The Foundation is doing this voluntary welfare and also gives free of cost medicines to the people below poverty line. They wish to continue serving the maximum number of needy and underprivileged mass of the region.
Currently, their facility is situated at Rahatani, Pune. They had appealed for donation of 2 Dialysis Machines. The Board in its meeting held on 24th January, 2023 approved the said proposal and sanctioned an amount of Rs. 14,43,100/- towards buying of 2 Dilaysis Machines.
6. Donation to Maharaj Jagat Singh Medical Relief Society.
Maharaj Jagat Singh Medical Relief Society (MJSMRS) was established as a registered Society in November 1978, with its office at Dera Baba Jaimal Singh, Beas, Punjab.
Main object is to provide free medical care primarily through three multi-specialty hospitals, which are located in different geographic areas in northern India that lack adequate public or private medical services. The primary aim of these hospitals is to provide high quality medical care with love and devotion, completely free of charge, without any distinction of caste, creed, religion, colour, or economic status.
The Board in its meeting held on 24th January, 2023 allocated the balance amount of Rs. 22,00,000/- for the F.Y. 2022-23 towards donation to Maharaj Jagat Singh Medical Relief Society.
